Duffy says climate science will ‘move aside,’ with NASA only focusing on space exploration

One presidential term won’t cut it. To make anything stick, you’d need statutes carved into stone—or better yet, constitutional amendments—demanding that science be anchored in fact, with “fact” defined in a way that can’t be twisted by word games and hysteria. They’ll still try, of course, but solid guardrails would at least give realists a weapon to keep the alarmist juggernaut from flattening everything the moment it reclaims the White House. This won’t be easy. Crafting laws is a sluggish, messy business, entangled in the petty constituencies of legislators. Constitutional amendments? Harder still. But the effort itself has value, even if the machinery grinds out something imperfect. Forcing the debate into the open would already be a victory. When people finally connect the dots between their soaring bills and the lunacy masquerading as policy, electoral pressure may at last do what reason alone cannot.
