EU Overtakes the Rest of the World (Except China) in EV Adoption

European democracies are mausoleums of choice: rows of identical headstones masquerading as parties. Voters dutifully march in, toss one set of caretakers out, install another—and discover, again and again, that the décor changes but the rot remains. True opposition takes decades to gestate, if it appears at all.

Look at Britain. The electorate gambled on Boris, hoping for upheaval. What they received was a tepid chameleon who abandoned his colors at the first whiff of pressure. Then chaos. Then Starmer, compounding the wreckage. And now, something new is stirring in the rubble—though whether it reflects genuine voter concerns or simply another costume change remains anyone’s guess.

The same pattern repeats across the continent. Europe’s ossified system prolongs the charade, deepening decay as destructive policies throttle economies and livelihoods past the point of collapse. Eventually, the continent will flip—but only after festering in stagnation long enough to guarantee the explosion is violent. When it comes, America’s spasms of political upheaval will look almost stately by comparison. Europe’s turn will make the U.S. appear measured, deliberate—even sober.
