LNG: the world’s secure, flexible, lower-carbon fuel?

This year marks 20 years since I laid eyes on my first LNG contract—and I was hooked on the spot. Even back then, I saw LNG as the future backbone of global energy: clean enough to pass for green, efficient, technologically mature, and absurdly versatile. Power generation, industrial heat, home energy, mobility—it could do it all, and it was already here. Frankly, if LNG didn’t exist, we’d have to invent it. And yet, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been called a fool for backing methane, supposedly on its deathbed. Strange, then, how it just keeps growing.
