Natural Gas Is Not a Bridge to tomorrow. It’s the Superhighway of the Future

I’ve said it for nearly twenty years, and I’ll say it again: methane is magnificent. It’s the perfume of the planet, the perfume of the Solar System. Everywhere you look—giant planets, icy moons, even the void itself—methane is there, shimmering like the signature ink of creation.

So tell me: if methane exists virtually everywhere, even drifting free in space, how exactly is it a “fossil fuel”? Did the cosmos once teem with spacefaring dinosaurs, conveniently decomposing into interstellar gas clouds? Is the universe secretly riddled with bacteria? Please.Methane is not the relic of life—it is the child of geology, born from the planet’s bones. The biological trickle isn’t even worth noticing. And unlike hydrogen, that volatile show pony, methane is clean, abundant beyond belief, safe to handle, easy to store and transport. Methane is hydrogen civilized, hydrogen domesticated—fire, bottled and obedient.
