Oil Breaks Four Day Losing Streak On Impediments To Oversupply

A losing streak? I’m pushing sixty, and in all those years I’ve never seen chaos this thick. Wars flaring on every continent. Economies and political systems collapsing in places that once anchored the globe. Globalisation tossed out like yesterday’s trash. One of the world’s three oil giants so crippled by war that it may never return to serious export status. Iran limping. Venezuela and Libya reduced to shadows of their former selves.
Trust has evaporated, and the world staggers forward like a drunk in the dark. Inflation is chewing through the developed economies; anything under triple digits now feels like wishful thinking. By every model, every oracle, every smug analyst’s projection, oil should be perched at $250 or more. Instead, the numbers sit miles away from that mark—so far it’s grotesque.
This isn’t a dip. This isn’t a cycle. It’s a tectonic shift. And we are sleepwalking straight through it, eyes glazed, mouths full of platitudes, as the ground splits open beneath us.
