Rescinding the endangerment finding was overdue. But where do we turn for justice?

Rescinding the endangerment finding was a small step—one stitch pulled loose in the great tapestry of lies. Not the lie, of course. Just one among many, because let’s be honest: as a species we are hardwired for fraud. There will always be those eager to wreck entire societies if it fattens their purse or strokes their vanity, dragging the rest of us into a world so bleak that some simply give up. And there will always be enough fools willing to play along, by any means necessary—whether that means deceit, coercion, or a casual dose of cruelty when the tantrum doesn’t go their way. Meanwhile, the few who dare to peer behind the curtain and see the gears grinding will forever be a minority. That’s the order of things: the ruthless, the idiotic, the powerless—and a scattering of honest souls condemned to witness it all. That balance won’t change. The damage wrought by the endangerment finding is permanent. But perhaps—just perhaps—we can still give truth a fighting chance.
