Sometimes, you don’t fight evil with good. Sometimes you just sit back and wait for one evil to bludgeon the other. Why waste precious powder when there’s always a more radical green sect waiting in the wings, ready to hurl the sacred climate catechism like holy grenades at the developers?
The developers, of course, are only in it for the money. They worship no deity, green or otherwise, except the numbers lighting up their bank accounts. The real climate radicals, on the other hand, actually believe their own sermons. They are genuinely terrified of the imminent end of the world — bless their neurotic little hearts.
No matter how ridiculous their beliefs, they’re a welcome relief for the rest of us. While they claw at each other like medieval monks arguing over the number of angels on a solar panel, the sane can focus on salvaging what’s left after their holy crusade has run its course.Meanwhile, ancient forests in the Balkans have been razed to produce pellets to make Germans and Austrians feel virtuous as they incinerate the planet in the name of “saving” it — all kindly funded by taxpayers. Let them fight. We’ll rebuild later.
